Woodward Council was Instituted on April 21, 1917 by the Grand Council
of Ohio. This followed the appropriate notices, petitions, and dispensation.
The first Stated Assembly was held the next week on April 28, 1917,
Homer Stark presiding. One hundred Royal Arch Masons were introduced
and conducted through the Royal and Select Master's Degrees. It is unlikely
that this class size was, or ever will be duplicated. A number of sister
Councils contributed to the degree work as well as PMIM Robert Armstrong
and RIDGM George Schwartz.
At this time, Woodward met at 1949 East 105th Street. In 1960, the Council
moved to the Collinwood Masonic Templeon East 152nd Street. Finally,
in 1962, the Lyndhurst Temple became the home of Woodward Council, where
Assemblies are held on the second Saturday of each month, except July
and August.

John Hall - Thank you John.)
